Aerial photography showing the project design of the Western Walton County Beach Nourishment Project is linked below. In general, the project will consist of extending the beach between 75-125 feet, raising the existing beach by 3-5 feet and building a dune that will offer protection against the 8-10 foot storm surge that often accompanies tropical weather.
